3. Polypropylene filaments have high strength, large elongation, high initial modulus, and excellent elasticity. Therefore, polypropylene wear resistance is good. In addition, the wet strength of polypropylene filaments is basically equal to dry strength.
4. Hygroscopicity and dyeing: Polypropylene has low hygroscopicity, almost no moisture absorption, and the moisture regain is close to zero under normal atmospheric conditions. However, it has a wicking effect and can transmit water vapor through the capillary in the fabric without any absorption by itself.
5. Acid and alkali resistance: Polypropylene has better chemical resistance. In addition to concentrated nitric acid and concentrated caustic soda, polypropylene has good resistance to acid and alkali.
6. Lightfastness: PP light resistance is poor, thermal stability is also poor, easy aging, intolerance ironing. However, anti-aging properties can be improved by adding anti-aging agents during spinning. In addition, polypropylene has good electrical insulation, but static electricity is easily generated during processing.
The biggest feature of Intermingled PP FDY is its smaller specific gravity than water, its abrasion resistance and its corrosion resistance. Its overall performance is relatively stable. It can be used in a wide range of applications. For example, quilt cover, thread making, elastic stockings, weaving bags, and elastic Light release, curtain fabrics, clothing accessories, safety ropes, nets, belts, bamboo products, bedding, car seats, bags, woven ropes, etc.
